SECRETARY GENERAL CORRADO FACCO LEAVES THE VICENZA FAIR
Vicenza, 31/3/07 – After having covered the role of Secretary General at the Vicenza Fair for over two years, Corrado Facco has decided to hand in his notice due to personal reasons. During his time with the Fair, this manager has strongly pursued the objective of promoting a structured relaunch process for the Fair, with the aim of attaining the most favourable placing for upcoming challenges.
Innovation and competitiveness have in fact been the mission for a programme that has seen development of a series of combined activities with a view to updating the Structure as a whole. The two years of leadership by Facco have seen the adoption of a new model of internal organisation, adoption of new planning logic for trade fairs linked to the world of jewellery, start up and development of new events for other niche production segments, launch of the first industrial plan and heavy investment into technology, which have allowed the Vicenza Fair to follow a new path in its placing on the Italian and international fair panorama. Important redevelopment work has also involved infrastructures with planning and building of the new B1 pavilion inaugurated in September 2006, plus restyling projects for four pavilions and various other structural improvements. This has all led to upgrading of the Organisation’s image with positive feedback from clients. “I am leaving the general direction of the Vicenza Fair confident in the knowledge that I have dedicated to it the best of my professionalism, my commitment, my passion and enthusiasm. I would like to the thank the Official Bodies of the fair for the support they have given me and all the Staff who have shared challenges with me over these two years”, says Facco, who received unanimous declarations of esteem from all the Fair Organisation Directors and the sector-linked economic world as soon as news of his departure was made public. The Vicenza Fair, soon to conclude its transformation into a Spa (limited liability company), confirms that it fully intends to further its activity in support of crucial production sectors, with short-term development of new strategies in the pipeline that aim to consolidate its role as leader.
